Building Relationships
Our God is a relational God. He has a desire to have us know Him as He knows us. Can you imagine that? God knows how many hairs are on my head, every cell in my body, every breath I take, He knows EVERYTHING about me. Yet, in he tells us that He desires for us to know Him. Not just know OF Him, but know Him as He knows us. He wants us to communicate with Him, to fellowship with Him. He brought us out of our "Egypt", not just so we could inhabit our promised land, but so that we could first KNOW HIM ON THE MOUNTAIN. He has been drawing and speaking to our hearts since the day we were born and He is passionately interested in our relationship with Him.
This is the message of Hope that we desire to bring to the youth of the Yukon Flats. In Romans 12:2 Paul says that we are to be transformed through the renewing of our minds. We have to change the way we think. We have to connect with the Creator and gain His Heavenly perspective on life. The process is not always pretty. There is a battle over our thoughts, over the way we think about life. When God's thinking is introduced into out thinking, there is a BRAINSTORM.
We believe that God wants to have each and every young person experience this brainstorm firsthand, to have their thought process rocked by the Almighty One.
